Kobol Studios was founded with the intent of producing CG and Visual Effects work inspired by the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica (BSG)(2003) TV series. Adalla, the Founder of Kobol Studios, was so influenced and inspired by the spectacular VFX work on BSG that he made it one of his life’s objectives to learn and produce CG and VFX work, and eventually become good enough to work as a part-time freelance CG Artist who specialized in SciFi space shots.

It is the aim of Kobol Studios to strive to continue the legacy of Battlestar Galactica’s revolutionary VFX and produce work not Battlestar Galactica shots, but also other SciFi such as Star Trek, Star Wars, Firefly, Babylon 5 etc. Our founding motto is “quality before quantity”. And at the time of founding, we dont have anyone who is an expert at this stuff. Our mission is to learn and produce work with increasing complexity and quality. We shall start with very simple shots, but do our very best to make them of the highest quality possible.

If you are interested in joining Kobol Studios, please send an email to kobolstudios at gmail dot com with a description of your background, software you use, experience, interests, CG/VFX goals, and links to samples of your work. Currently we do require that you utilize LightWave 3D and work primarily on Battlestar Galactica CG work.

My ultimate objective for Kobol Studios is to produce exceptional VFX and CG work to be used in fan films, fan fiction art work, web artwork. We are BSG and SciFi fans who intend to make our dreams come true, and help the dreams of others come true as well.

So Say We All!

Founder, Kobol Studios
